Jimmy Stewart and a partner worked together at a local automotive company. After acquiring a vast knowledge base; they decided to start out on their own. Jimmy continued working while his partner worked to get things off the ground. After 6 months, both partners were full time at S & H Automation.

Extensive knowledge and quality machines moved them to quickly become successful and grow their business. Jimmy’s wife, Barb was also very active in the business; first running the business and financials and then moved to programming and wiring all the machinery. Jimmy’s children, two sons and a daughter joined the team to learn the ins and outs. His sons around the age 17 and 15, worked to help build what is today a 24,000 square feet successful business.

In 1997 Jimmy and his partner parted ways, both sons stepped in to help run the day to day business. Fast forward to now, Jimmy and Barb have retired to enjoy life and his son Jon runs the business full time.

Keeping with family tradition, Jon’s wife Emily works in the office and his son Jerid is helping in many aspects. Jerid turned in his application at the young age of 6 years, determined to one day be involved in the business. Since that time he has acquired many skills such as welding, machining, machine-building and machine design using CAD software. Jerid is only one of the skilled employees in our facility helping to achieve success.

S & H Automation has CNC machining, design capabilities and 3 tool rooms allowing a majority of tooling to be produced in house.
